I’m Jessica Alsip — photographer, homesteader, and farmer — and I’m the heart behind Four Fourteen Photography. I live with my family on a little piece of land in Neosho, Missouri, where my days revolve around muddy boots, honest work, and finding beauty in ordinary moments. I’m originally from Northwest Arkansas and still travel there often, but Missouri is home.

Photography wasn’t something I picked up because it looked pretty on Instagram. I started this business in 2015 because I’ve always been drawn to the in-between moments: the way a mother looks at her child, the quiet comfort between a couple, the chaos and laughter of family. I believe those are the things worth remembering — not the perfectly posed, but the perfectly honest.

Over the years, I’ve photographed people in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Missouri, North and South Carolina, Oklahoma, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Costa Rica, and Punta Cana. But no matter where I go, what stays the same is my focus: capturing genuine, unscripted moments with a timeless, natural editing style.

I work with families, couples, seniors, weddings, and boudoir clients across the AR/MO/OK tri-state area and beyond. I’m not here to push trends or curate something fake for social media. I’m here to preserve the things that matter most — the kind of photos your kids will look at decades from now and feel something.

People often ask: What does Four Fourteen mean?

The name comes from something deeply personal — my oldest daughter Payson’s birthday: April 14th.

Becoming her mother on 4/14 changed everything. It turned me into “that mom with the camera,” capturing every fleeting moment I could before it slipped away. I never looked back — except, of course, on all the photographs.

Today, I’m a mother to two beautiful girls: Payson and Gwendolyn. And through them, I’ve learned this simple truth:

Some moments deserve to be remembered — not just as snapshots, but as pieces of our story.

As a mother, as a photographer, as a human being — that’s my calling. Documenting the ordinary, the messy, the beautiful moments that might not feel monumental now… but will one day mean everything.
